No, the main face is one - it can be a combination of shapes, but not separate shapes, then they would count as another. The eyes count as one shape - there are two separate eyes, but they are ONE shape. And the mouth is a different shape, therefore counting as one.
The point is that you get the "feel" of the work. It doesn't matter, just that it looks okay =P
